LifeGift Supports LGBTQ+ Inclusion at 2025 Pride In Business Celebration

On June 6th, the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Pride In Business Celebration & Awards Luncheon, commemorating a decade since the landmark Supreme Court ruling that established marriage equality nationwide. The event brought together business leaders, advocates and allies under the theme, “A Decade of Equality: Celebrate, Reflect, Stand Together.” Keynote speaker Jim Obergefell, whose case led to the historic ruling, delivered a powerful message on the continued fight for equality and inclusion.

LifeGift proudly participated in the celebration as both a sponsor and an active community partner. LifeGift used the opportunity to raise awareness about the life-saving power of organ, eye and tissue donation and encourage donor registration from within the LGBTQ+ community. The organization’s presence helped spotlight the critical intersection between health equity and inclusion, emphasizing that access to organ transplants and donor registration must be inclusive of all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
