LifeGift Partners with The Health Museum

On June 17th, LifeGift proudly partnered with The Health Museum in Houston on its annual Global Teen Medical Summit. This event provides teens with the opportunity to meet with modern-day health and bioscience experts. Partnering with some of the brightest minds in medicine today, this experience provides access to thought leaders involved in cutting-edge medical research, clinical practice, policy and entrepreneurship.

More than 40 students visited host-sponsor Nora’s Home for discussions on donor selection and management, organ donation pathways, allocation and recovery, insights into today’s transplant world, and college and career pathways. The students also participated in the LifeGift SIM Center’s hands-on Kidney Wet Station, ICU Scenario and Auscultation Station. LifeGift also will partner again with The Health Museumfor their second summer program on July 22nd.

LifeGift’s mission is to educate future generations of healthcare practitioners regarding organ, eye and tissue donation. The future of healthcare is bright; LifeGift is honored to be a part of this education.
