LifeGift’s Upcoming Backpack Drive to Support Local Students

LifeGift is proud to announce our Back-to-School Backpack Drive, an exciting community initiative focused on helping students across our service areas start the school year strong. Organized by LifeGift’s Multicultural Advisory Committee (MAC), this year’s distribution will take place on Friday, July 31st atLifeGift’s campus, 2510 Westridge Street, Houston, TX 77054, with the goal of providing 750+ students with essential school supplies organized by grade, from elementary to high school.

At LifeGift, our mission goes beyond organ, eye and tissue donation. We’re deeply invested in the health and well-being of the communities we serve. This backpack drive is an opportunity to honor the gift of life by giving back in another powerful way—empowering students and supporting education.

The drive includes a public distribution event on July 31st from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm at our Houston campus (southeast region). The west region’s drive will benefit the Children’s Home of Lubbock, and the north region will support the Chisholm Trail Community Center. We welcome donations of new backpacks, lunch boxes and school supplies, as well as monetary contributions to help maximize our support. Hospital partners, businesses and community organizations are invited to join us in supporting this important annual initiative.
