Lions, Tigers and LifeGift Volunteers! Oh My!
LifeGift’s Volunteer Appreciation 2015 Holiday Party at the Houston Zoo Aquarium was an enchanting night we will never forget. LifeGift’s Ambassadors of Hope had a chance to bring out their wild side while they enjoyed holiday dinner among exotic underwater creatures from all over the world.
The party gave LifeGift the opportunity to acknowledge the dedication each unique volunteer brings to the organization. In 2015, Ambassadors of Hope gave their time, energy and passion to increase awareness for organ, eye and tissue donation. Many of them spent countless hours speaking at events, running marathons, registering new heroes, helping LifeGift staff and sharing with their loved ones the lifesaving importance of donating life.
The intimate, candlelit awards dinner celebrated each moment, each miracle, each gift and the Ambassadors of Hope. A truly special evening, the night also was an opportunity to honor the volunteers we've lost over the last several years: Mary Frugé, Marlon Jackson, Yolanda "YoYo" Johnson, Tyler D. Nelson, Frank Rocha, Willie Thornton and Twana Schulz. Twana's family joined LifeGift in celebrating a great friend, mother, wife, sister, daughter and volunteer.
