LifeGift Announces Executive Leadership Team Promotions

(Jan. 29, 2016) – LifeGift, the federally-designated organ and tissue recovery agency, which offers hope to individuals needing transplants in 109 Texas counties in Southeast, North and West Texas, today announced that three members of its executive leadership team have been promoted.
Jessica Leibold was promoted to senior managing director of facilities and purchasing. She began her tenure at LifeGift as the construction manager, owner’s representative to oversee the demolition, renovation and construction of LifeGift’s corporate headquarters in Houston. Soon after, she accepted the position of managing director of facilities and purchasing for all three of LifeGift’s offices. Currently, Jessica is leading an expansion of the Houston office, managing the construction of a 7500-square foot addition, which will house a sophisticated call center, a state-of-the-art training center and office space for one of LifeGift’s tissue processors, which will make specialty tissue grafts readily available to the Texas Medical Center. Leibold also coordinated the planning, purchasing and inventory to accommodate major increases in tissue recovery in LifeGift’s Fort Worth office.

Carolyn Olivarez, LVN, CPTC, CPHQ was promoted to managing director of quality systems. In this role, Olivarez will continue to oversee all activities involving quality assurance and improvement, compliance with applicable regulatory audits and analysis of data and documentation. She began her career at LifeGift more than 27 years ago and recently earned her Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification.
“Carolyn has directed quality systems in an increasingly complex and demanding environment, maintaining and exceeding our numerous regulatory and accreditation requirements,” said Myer. “She has grown her department to reflect dramatic increases in tissue recovery volume, almost daily changes in more demanding quality and compliance standards and keeps quality at the top of mind in the expansion of LifeGift’s services.”
Laura Frnka-Davis, APR, was promoted to managing director of communications. With six years of experience at LifeGift, Frnka-Davis oversees all communication initiatives for the organization from media relations, publications, the volunteer program and multicultural outreach in all three of LifeGift’s regional offices. An accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America, Laura has served on various Donate Life America committees and was heavily involved in the Transplant Games of America when they came to Houston in 2014.
“Laura was an integral part of growing the Donate Life Texas Registry from 1 million in 2009 to more than 8 million currently. Additionally, she successfully led the rebranding of LifeGift and the integration of social media outreach into our communications strategy,” said Myer. “Her team of communication professionals has efficiently grown our volunteer program into a vibrant group of Ambassadors of Hope to extend our reach into the community. “
