High Schools Embrace Organ and Tissue Donation
LifeGift is seeing an upswing in the number of high schools across its service area wanting to learn more about organ, eye and tissue donation.
Within the first three months of 2017, numerous schools from across Houston, Lubbock, Fort Worth and Amarillo have invited us to speak and host registration drives to help educate young minds about the power of donation.
Part of the interest has been driven by the Texas Association of Student Councils (TASC) initiative that was announced last year. The Dare to Donate campaign challenges student councils from across the state to provide education and registration opportunities for students, parents and community members.
We’d like to thank the following schools for reaching out and working with us:
Fort Worth area:
- Carroll High School
- Brewer High School
- Lubbock High School
- Byron Martin Advanced Technology Center
- Irons Middle School
- Stephen F. Austin High School
- Alief Taylor High School
- Baines Middle School
- George Bush High School
- Kempner High School
- Katy High School
