Rainbows of Hope: National Donate Life Month Full of Remembrances and Celebrations

Rainbows adorn Donate Life America’s Donate Life Month campaign this year. Why rainbows you might ask?

Each year, Donate Life America selects a theme to illustrate the beauty that organ, eye and tissue donation holds for the donor family, the recipient and those still awaiting lifesaving organs and tissue This year, the artwork signifies how the presence of a rainbow provides optimism and motivates us to endure during dark times. Organ, eye and tissue donation is the bridge of comfort and hope between one family’s mourning and another’s healing – turning tragedy into renewed life.

From media stories, to clergy symposiums, a fun run, a phone bank, flag raisings and other community awareness events, the month has been filled with remembrances of donors, celebrations of recipients and promises of new tomorrows for those waiting on lifesaving gifts.

Thank you to LifeGift staff, Ambassadors of Hope and our community and hospital partners for helping us spread our lifesaving message during the month of April and beyond.
