Fort Worth Volunteers Celebrate National Blue and Green Day

During what proved to be one of the busiest Donate Life Months in recent history, on National Blue and Green Day, the Fort Worth Ambassadors of Hope were treated to an outdoor picnic at the Clearfork Food Park as a way to thank them for all of their hard work. Volunteers enjoyed a wide variety of food choices, and local country singer and friend to LifeGift Jeremy Martin performed for the group.

When the evening was over, many of the Ambassadors drove to the Allan Saxe Waterfall located on the downtown campus of Tarrant County College for a group photo.

Who Do You Run For?

On Saturday, April 22, nearly 500 transplant recipients, donor family members and LifeGift staff gathered for the third annual Houston Donate Life Texas 2nd Chance Run in Sugar Land, Texas.

Joy for life was in the air as hundreds took off running and walking to raise awareness of our lifesaving mission.

Donate Life Month: Why Pinwheels?

Everywhere you look this April, you see pinwheels. They are whimsical, colorful and fun – but they are also meaningful.

Donate Life America chose the concept of the pinwheel for the 2017 National Donate Life Month artwork. A pinwheel evokes various images and meanings, but the strongest association revolves around opportunity and energy. It is symbolic of an instrument that turns obstacles into opportunities. The pinwheel’s ability to capture and pass on energy parallels one’s potential to make LIFE possible.
