Making a Difference
Let’s be honest. We should all strive to make a difference in someone’s life on a daily basis. But the truth is, we often get caught up in our own busy, crazy lives and we walk with our eyes to the ground, or worse yet, on our cell phones – never noticing the elderly lady struggling to load groceries in her car at the local supermarket
Now in its 24th year and an official Donate Life America observance, National Make a Difference Day is Saturday, Oct. 24. A USA Today initiative and the largest national day of community service, it is a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors.
There are many ways that you can make a difference when it comes to increasing awareness of organ, eye and tissue donation:
- Encourage someone to register as an organ, eye and tissue donor.
- Sign up as an Ambassador of Hope and volunteer your time spreading the word about the great need for organ and tissue donation.
- Offer hope through social media by sharing our inspirational, informative and uplifting messages on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
Make a Difference Day should be every day and not just one day out of the year. How will make a difference? Learn how to get involved.
