In sickness and in health. The phrase carries special significance for Troy Himes. After all, it was his wife, Cassandra, who gave him a renewed chance at life. Thinking he had a bad cold, Troy arrived at the hospital only to find his blood pressure dangerously high and his kidneys failing. In an astonishing coincidence, Cassandra was a match and became her husband’s organ donor. Troy fondly remembers the poignant scene after surgery when Cassandra expressed her gratitude for the chance to spend the rest of her life with her husband and their son Damien.
