
Schawnté Williams-Taylor, RN, BSN, CPTC
Managing Director, West Region
Schawnté Williams-Taylor has been a member of the LifeGift team since August 1999. In 2009, she was promoted to managing director.
As managing director of LifeGift’s West Region, she is responsible for the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the clinical organ and tissue recovery operations in the area surrounding Lubbock and Amarillo, Texas.
Williams-Taylor previously served as manager of organ recovery services for the LifeGift’s Southeast Region for five years. She joined LifeGift as a donation clinical specialist and then became an in-house coordinator at Ben Taub and Memorial Hermann Hospital.
Williams-Taylor graduated from The University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston School of Nursing with a bachelor of science in nursing in 1990. Prior to joining LifeGift, she worked as the assistant director/manager of Intensive Care/Coronary Care and house coordinator at Memorial Hermann Fort Bend Medical Center.
She is a certified transplant procurement coordinator, certified critical care nurse and member of the North American Transplant Coordinator Organization, Texas Transplant Society, American Society of Multicultural Health Transplant Professionals and American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
