One of the most inspiring programs that LifeGift invites donor families to participate in is the creation of our Donor Memorial Quilt.
Each LifeGift Donor Memorial Quilt is a visual testament of the compassionate nature of the human spirit. Constructed from articles of clothing, baby blankets, jewelry trinkets, photos and even toys, each 6-inch by 6-inch square is unique – appropriately embodying the donor. Every square has the donor's name and the date of his or her death.
The donor quilts hang in the LifeGift offices and are often displayed at special awareness events as moving tributes to organ and tissue donation.
We are collecting squares for our next quilt. No sewing is required, so everyone can participate. We’ll provide the complimentary materials and instructions,
as well as answer any questions you may have.
