DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY TEAMS UP WITH LIFEGIFT AND DONATE LIFE HOUSTON TO SAVE LIVES THROUGH ORGAN AND TISSUE DONATION

WHAT:

LifeGift, the local organ and tissue recovery agency, and Donate Life Houston, a new grassroots organization that encourages Houstonians to register as organ and tissue donors, will partner with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) to save the lives of more than 9,000 Texans waiting for lifesaving organ transplants.

DETAILS:

Houstonians visiting the DPS office located on Gessner Road the morning of April 6 will have the opportunity to learn about what it means to be an organ and tissue donor. LifeGift and Donate Life Houston will have representatives on hand to debunk myths about organ and tissue donation and provide information about the Glenda P. Dawson Donate Life Texas – Registry. Spokespeople from LifeGift, Donate Life Houston and DPS will be available for media interviews.
