Our Leadership

Mark Roth, MHA/MBA
Director of Tissue Recovery Services, Southeast Region

Mark Roth joined LifeGift in 2006 as a donation systems specialist. In 2008, three-quarters of his hospitals met the qualifications to receive the Medal of Honor for achieving a 75% conversion of organ donation potential. This award is presented by the Department of Health & Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration Division.

Roth was promoted to director of tissue recovery services for the Southeast Region in 2008. In this role, he directs the tissue recovery program which began operations in a new, state-of-the-art facility in early 2008. Roth has the goal of developing strong partnerships with medical examiners, justices of the peace and the funeral home community in order to more effectively serve the needs of the donor families. He seeks to solidify the reputation of LifeGift as a "Center for Excellence" in tissue recovery.

Prior to joining LifeGift, Roth served as the director of finance and marketing at the Lions Eye Bank of Texas at Baylor College of Medicine. While at the eye bank, he participated in the Vital Volunteers program at LifeGift. Additionally, he served as an adjunct faculty member of the University of Houston Clear Lake from 1996 through 2001 lecturing in physician group practice management and managed healthcare.

Roth participates in his Lions Club as club secretary and represents the Lions Clubs on the Board of Directors of the Texas Lions Camp, a summer camp for physically challenged children.
