LifeGift Receives Golden Hourglass Award from MTF
Houston, TX (Oct. 20, 2011) – LifeGift, the organ and tissue recovery nonprofit agency that services Southeast, West and North Texans in need of lifesaving and life-enhancing organ and tissue transplants, is the recipient of the MusculoskeletalTransplant Foundation (MTF) 2010 Golden Hourglass Award.
The LifeGift Tissue Recovery and Quality Assurance Departments received the award for demonstrating improvement in the facilitation of donor release during the year 2010. This means that LifeGift has increased its efficiency in turning around charts and having no greater than a 90-days’ worth of charts in the queue.
MTF made this announcement during its technical symposium back in May. The series of awards recognizes excellence in tissue donation and recovery services.
