Lifegift Adds Seasoned Organ Recovery Manager to Leadership Roster

Brim joins LifeGift from Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Donor Network, based in Itasca, Ill., just outside of Chicago, where she supervised the day-to-day operations of the organ recovery department. Prior to joining the Gift of Hope in 1993, Brim worked as a charge nurse at Olympia Fields Dialysis and was responsible for pre-transplant patient workups She began her career in healthcare as a nurse in the intensive care unit at St. Catherine's Hospital in East Chicago, Ind.
Brim is the procurement examination chair for the American Board for Transplant Certification and the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations (AOPO) Ethics Committee Co-Chair. She also serves on several United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS) committees as the at-large representative, including the Histocompatibility Committee. Most recently she was the UNOS Region 7 Operations representative.
Brim graduated from Purdue University and attended the South Chicago School of Nursing.
