Donation Support Specialist

Provide support to the Organ Procurement Coordinators for organ and tissue donation and recovery. Provide assistance during local donor identification, stabilization and management. Assist in the evaluation and preparation of potential and confirmed organ/tissue donors. Assist in the operating room with the perfusion, sterile recovery, preservation and preparation of distribution of recovered organs/tissues for transplantation and/or research.

Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate is a Licensed Paramedic or other allied health training program, or equivalent experience. Must have knowledge of human anatomy & medical terminology; Prefer four years of experience in an acute care hospital, pre-hospital/emergency care setting, or organ procurement organization.
