Donate Life Texas Recognizes Representative Zerwas for Saving Lives Through Organ Donation

Austin, TX (Jan. 31, 2011) -- Donate Life Texas recently acknowledged State Representative John Zerwas for his efforts in saving and enhancing lives through organ and tissue donation.

LifeGift, one of the three organ procurement organizations in the state that recovers organs and tissues for Texans in need of transplants in 109 counties, recognized Zerwas with the "Donation Champion Award." The state representative was instrumental in leading legislation that increased awareness of organ donation and streamlined the process for Texas residents to become registered donors.
