Burt (Bo) Fowler, M.D., serves as medical director of LifeGift. A board-certified cardiovascular surgeon and champion for organ donation, Dr. Fowler is a member of the LifeGift medical advisory committee and a consultant to donation clinical specialists in their work of donor management. He served on the LifeGift board of directors from 1999 to 2008.
Dr. Fowler received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma and performed his residency in general surgery and cardiovascular surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He completed his fellowship in cardiovascular physiology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Fowler currently practices in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and is affiliated with Memorial Health Systems. He is a member of numerous societies and is a fellow the American College of Surgeons. The American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Angiology.
