Donor parents Linda and Gary Lupher met the recipient of their daughter Lauren's left kidney during Cook Children's and LifeGift's A True Living Legacy in Ft. Worth on April 9. Recipient Susan Hernandez is doing well, and is so grateful for the gift she received. At the reunion, Susan gave the Lupher's a beautiful butterfly snowglobe since Lauren loved butterflies. Linda said, "The meeting was perfect! We fell in love with them!"
Susan and Linda have stayed in touch and are becoming fast friends. The Hernandez family will be walking in Lauren's honor at the 2nd Chance Run in Ft. Worth on May 14.
