Fort Worth Volunteers Celebrate National Blue and Green Day

During what proved to be one of the busiest Donate Life Months in recent history, on National Blue and Green Day, the Fort Worth Ambassadors of Hope were treated to an outdoor picnic at the Clearfork Food Park as a way to thank them for all of their hard work. Volunteers enjoyed a wide variety of food choices, and local country singer and friend to LifeGift Jeremy Martin performed for the group.

When the evening was over, many of the Ambassadors drove to the Allan Saxe Waterfall located on the downtown campus of Tarrant County College for a group photo.

The significance of the waterfall, you ask? The campus agreed to turn the waterfall and fountains blue and green for National Blue and Green Day! And just blocks away, the Pier 1 Imports building also went blue and green – making for a stunning addition to the Fort Worth skyline.

LifeGift extends a warm thank-you to both Tarrant County College and Pier 1 for supporting our lifesaving mission.
