WHY:

Every day across the country, more than 80 people receive organ transplants. Countless others receive lifesaving tissue transplants and life-restoring corneal transplants. Even so, hundreds of thousands wait for lifesaving gifts across the country, including 3,000 Houston. Every day, 22 people die waiting for an organ they didn’t receive.

The Donate Life Texas 2nd Chance Run drives awareness to this critical health issue and offers hope to donor families, transplant recipients and those on the waiting list. For more information, visit www.lifegift.org and www.2ndchancerun.org.
